WDP - Poppy and Bramble

Jan is the proud owner of two lovely miniature Schnauzers, Poppy and Bramble. Jan has a very rare form of epilepsy and her two dogs are now fully trained therapy dogs and Bramble is also a self-taught seizure alert dog for Jan herself. Bramble is the first dog Jan has ever owned who can sense an attack and allow Jan to get to a safe point.

WDP - Seamus The Therapy Dog

So, we are in the home of Emma and gorgeous Staffie Seamus. They met in Emma’s final year at university when she was doing her PhD in animal welfare. Seamus is a lovely dark brown Staffie - officially his colour is tiger brindle. He is a very ‘chatty’ boy and joined in the conversation throughout our interview, putting a smile on all our faces.

WDP - Rich who has two jobs!

Debbie has always worked with dogs. She trained Guide Dogs for the Blind for 12 years and also spent five years at a charity training German Shepherds as guide dogs too. Now she works at the kennels that belong to one of the UK’s premiere Great Dane breeders and Debbie felt that she still wanted to work with a dog and give something back to the community. When a new litter appeared, she spotted Rich and decided that she was going to be the dog to help her do that.
